The documentary short film "La Diosa Quebrada" (The Broken Goddess) produced by XimenaFilms, with the support of Creaciones Animadas de Venezuela, is in an advanced stage of editing.
Written and directed by Ximena Pereira and produced by Carolina Dávila, the documentary film offers a personal look at the breaking of the statue of María Lionza that occurred in 2004 in Caracas.
María Lionza is the most popular and beloved Goddess of Venezuela. Her statue is still locked in a shed at the Central University of Venezuela.
